Pape and Alice Cissokho bring together two related instruments: the harp and the kora.
She's a classical harpist, he's a Senegalese griot carrying on the tradition of his ancestors.
For nearly 20 years, they have been performing in France, Japan and Africa in original and subtle programs. They bring together the traditional heritages of Africa and Celtic with the Baroque - universes that are a priori remote - in a concern for authenticity and refinement. Their Escales Métisses program mixes different repertoires and continents: African, Persian, Celtic and Baroque music.
Musics are superimposed and fused in a daring and harmonious meeting-pot.
