The Best Easter Egg Hunts to Enjoy with Children
How can you be sure to delight children at Easter? By taking them on an egg hunt in a real garden or a natural setting! It’s the perfect opportunity for a family outing, a moment shared across generations, and a joyful mix of discovery, play, and delicious treats.
🐔 The closest to chickens and rabbits
Egg hunt among hens and rabbits. On Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., head to La Ferme des Châtaigniers in Catenay for a friendly countryside egg hunt.
Children will search for chocolate eggs while discovering farm animals up close, including hens and rabbits. Admission: €2 per participant, with refreshments available on site.
Event organized by the Young Farmers of Seine-Maritime.
🍫 The most refined
A gourmet treasure hunt at the Jardin des Sculptures. The Jardin des Sculptures at Château de Bois-Guilbert invites families to take part in a delightful Easter treasure hunt. On April 4, 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can explore the gardens and sculptures while solving clues that will lead them to a delicious chocolate treasure, created in collaboration with Maison Vatelier. Entrance to the garden + €5 per child (or per participant) for the illustrated booklet and chocolate prize.

🐦 The most educational
Discover the eggs of the park’s birds; During this festive Easter weekend, families can learn more about bird eggs and nests through a fun investigation game. Using a booklet filled with clues, children will explore the park and solve a mystery. Those who find the correct answer will be rewarded with chocolate.
🕙 Time slots available between - 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. For children aged 4 to 11. Park entrance included.
🎶 The most festive
2,000 eggs hidden at Château de Martainville. Nearly 2,000 colourful eggs will be hidden in the park of Château de Martainville. Children will receive a chocolate reward after the hunt, while craft workshops run throughout the day. A lively “Musiquiz” show will also invite families to rediscover famous childhood songs through original arrangements for violin and percussion. The audience becomes part of the show: guessing songs, singing, dancing and even joining the performers on stage. 🎭 Performances each day at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Price: €3 per participating child. Accompanying adults: castle entrance ticket required. Reservation required on April 6, 2026.
🧭 The most unusual
Easter at the Artmazia Labyrinth . From April 4 to 6, the Artmazia Labyrinth transforms into a giant Easter investigation game. Families will take part in a treasure-hunt style adventure through the maze while searching for clues. Sessions at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.
Price: €7. Light refreshments available on site.
🕵️ The most mysterious and competitive
An Easter investigation at Mortemer Abbey. From April 4 to 6 (1:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.), Easter at Mortemer Abbey becomes a true adventure. Participants will follow clues throughout the abbey to unlock a treasure chest filled with chocolate eggs, bells and rabbits. Along the way, small chocolate eggs scattered in the park may distract the investigators… Only the most determined will uncover the secret code to open the great chocolate chest. And at snack time, a spectacular highlight awaits:
a life-size chocolate catapult will launch a shower of chocolates across the lawns. At the whistle, children and adults alike can rush to collect as many sweets as possible. The Easter activities are included in the regular abbey entrance fee: €8.50 per adult /€6.50 per child
