Mortuary Chapel - Le Héron
Nestled in the woods, the mortuary chapel belonging to the Pomereu d'Aligre family, whose coats of arms adorn the gate, was built in 1868 by the architect David de Penanrun. Topped with a dome, which used to be golden, this Byzantine Revival building with its bell tower is an unusual example of architecture in Normandy. Dedicated to Saint Michael, whose statue towers over the gate, the chapel was bought by the village in 1982 to become the parish church.
